Manoj Dalmia MD
Pediatric and Adult Anesthesiologist
and Free Spirit Extraordinaire
Welcome to my site,
The Realest MD!
I decided to create this site for a number of reasons. One was to share my thoughts on various topics, most importantly the COVID pandemic and my experience being on the front-lines when NYC was the epicenter of the outbreak in the US. In addition, other social media sites began censoring true information as misinformation, which was extremely frustrating.
But most humbly, I received a lot of feedback from people who really enjoyed my writing to create my own site so I could more easily share with others who do not use social media at all. I feel I have thoughts worth sharing about a number of topics, and I hope you enjoy them.
So, a bit about me! Well, I'm a doctor but I prefer the term "healer" as this description I think most accurately describes who I am at my core. I consider myself a free spirit. I revel in experiences and human connection, and thus this takes me down many paths whether as a writer, thinker, traveler, and a lover of a great many things.
I am a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and a friend to many.
I am a big believer in being present to the present. It is important to learn from the past, but not get caught up worrying too much about the future. It is how we choose to live and approach today that most impacts our tomorrow.
But the goal I wish to achieve is ensuring my true and authentic self and voice is always conveyed to those whom I interact with, whether in person or virtually. I do this by continuously working on and rooting myself in the importance of mindfulness, being a clear, direct, and honest communicator, and embracing the power of my vulnerability. I do have the traditional intellectual smarts. But my emotional intelligence is truly my strength.
In other words, you are always going to get the realest ME at all times.
