Memories of Daddy, Post 1: Daddy Will Always Be Daddy.
Updated: Sep 11, 2020
I've decided that everyday for the next year, I'm going to share a memory and/or thought about my dad. Here's post #1:
Most people refer to their male parent as "Dad". I, to this day, still refer to him as "Daddy". Now, to most people, this would seem extremely childish or ridiculous for a 32 year old man to say.
However, the love that Daddy showed to us, his kids, never changed throughout our lives.
He kissed us every day we were around.
He said "I love you" every time we spoke.
He told me that no matter how old I got, I would always be his kid.
See, to me, no matter my age, I always knew he would protect me. I knew I would always be his little boy. And that's why, to me, it never made sense for me to call him anything else but Daddy.
I will love and miss you forever, Daddy.
